We are moving our services to faster servers, and we have also upgraded our Internal logic to cater to our ever growing traffic.

We have removed Free Access Services from our Website, a service which was getting around 5% of our Site Traffic :(
There was a school of thought that the service had grey shades, and people were not using the service in the right spirit, so our management has decided to withdraw the service.
It is our way of improving the way we use Internet, and at the same time we did not want people to abuse legitimate services. :)
(Though the links have been removed from the website, the pages do exist on our servers, eventually the pages would be removed.)
We acknowledge people who write to us pointing mistakes / bugs on our site (they could easily walk away like many of us or simply ignore it), so when Ashok Shiroor pointed out the CASING BUG in our URL redirection script, we HAD to thank him for finding this bug (considering no one has pointed out in last two years) :)
Although, this bug effect lest 0.1% of our URL redirection, nevertheless its a bug.
The bug would be removed in next Two hours.

We have been waiting for long to donations to come in buckets ;).. but alas it did not happen as expected, so our folks did not have any option but to start putting advertisements on few selected pages.
THE SMALL URL REDIRECTION IS FREE OF ADVERTISEMENTS AND THERE ARE NO BANNER DISPLAYED WHEN YOU REDIRECT.
We have put advertisements when you read your Public Personal eMails, check Dropped Domains or when you search for your eMails or URL's.
We sincerely hope that these advertisements do not deter users in fully exploiting our services :)
We would also change the site design version change, once these advertisements are fully incorporated.
Yes !!! now all the Small / Short URL are compatible with third level domain, so now http://www.6url.com/ShortURL could also be used as http://ShortURL.6url.com :)
This recent addition to our services reinforces our domain to a higher level, where we keep on improving our services with changing time :)
We would change the version on the site in coming days.
We are happy to write that we have removed the bug and now all CC copies to 6URL.com are being received on our servers.
We are rejecting (not displaying) any 6URL.com eMail alias on BCC field, so if a user is sending an eMail as BCC, our servers would not be displaying the same.
* We would be correcting this problem in next major release of the Site.
We have also corrected the sort order of the eMails and deleted all eMail but for last Seven (7) Days.
There has been a bug in Public Personal Service :(
It has come to our notice that there are times when our server is not catching eMails sent in CC and BCC. We are working on the problem and very soon we would fix it on the site :(
